    "Good routines are important, even vital, to successful classrooms. When they are poorly thought out—or not thought out at all—the results are seen in disorganization and often in discipline problems. Classroom routines need to be efficient and clear. We highlight those two ideas in this section, plus the idea that routines can teach. Routines themselves can be curriculum, by virtue of their particular purposes and the learning embedded in them."
